David L. Kline Sr. was called home Saturday January 11, 2020 to rest forever after a long illness.

He has born on April 21st, 1943 to Keith and Kathryn (Lang) Kline in Beloit, Wisconsin, He attended Brother Dutton and Beloit Catholic High.
He married Glenda (Frye) on July 22, 1963 in Palmyra, MO
He started his working career as a teenager at the Blue Beacon Grocery Store and then worked at Strasburg Lumber, So. Beloit IL, Atwood Heat Treat, Rockford IL, and Kennedy Construction in Beloit Before starting his own business K & M Roofing and siding in 1973. In 1993 he purchased from the Garofolo family the Club 88 bar and has been the proud owner ever since.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Glenda, Daughters Laurie (Greg Adee) Kline, Kim (Rich) Eggers and Son Keith (Lisa) Kline. He was a proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren which resulted in 17 great grandchildren
He also leaves behind Sisters Mary (Sam) Cox, Jan (Eric) Stueck and Brother Mike (Lynn) Kline. Brother in law Don (Kathy) Frye and Ken Frye. Sister in law Penny (Don) Draves and Paula (Todd) Fields. As well as many great nieces and nephews.
His wish was to acknowledge all the many angel that helped him through his four year illness. Special Angel Mary Jane Daniels who passed in 2019. She drove us to Mayo in Rochester MN and UW Madison many times. SO enjoyed her company. Our friends Glen and Deb Van Buren for trips to Mayo, UW Madison and helping us out in so many ways. Jackie Champlin for taking us to hospitals and doctor visits. Sister Mary Cox for helping at our business whenever needed. Our nephew Rick Bloyer who took Dave, 42 days in a row to receive his IV treatments after having his leg amputated and a special thanks to John Jensen for making that happen. Our granddaughter Shane’a for helping to take care of me with her grandma. Neighbors Pat and Gloria Jacobs for doing our lawn care in the summer and snow removal in the winter. Andy and Melissa Thomas and their great kids Ryan and Elle for helping us out. And to our daughter Laurie that made sure at all times our needs were met in this 4 year struggle. She also helped keep our business going with our great employees. And lastly a heartfelt thanks to my lung Doctor, Dr. Pierre Kory at UW Madison for making my lung issues bearable and always calling to check on us. You went above and beyond. To the great nurses from Hospice that made this last week as comfortable as you could for all of us. Thank you Ms. Dawn and Foster Funeral Home in helping us navigate this solemn time with grace and dignity.
Dave is predeceased by his parents Keith and Kathryn Kline, in-laws Gail and Beba Frye, his twin daughters Mary Ann and Pamela Ann, granddaughter Stevie Eggers and his beloved son David L Kline Jr. He goes to rest with his special friends Virgil Thiede, Jim Schaffer and Lyle (Butch) Schober.
Has was a big man with a big heart and will be forever missed.
Per his request there will be no visitation or funeral.
A Celebration of his life will be held January 25, at Kline’s Club 88 65 Portland Ave. Beloit WI at 1:00 pm.
