Carol M Brausen (Bowes), age 81, of Madison, passed away peacefully at her own home of 57 years, with her daughter holding her hand and her five dogs laying next to her. She lost her battle with cancer but fought it like she lived her life; giving it everything she had. Carol with born Nov. 26th, 1937 in Madison, WI to Benjamin & Marion Bowes (DeRenzo). She was a fiery soul, but was a caretaker by nature, which is why she worked in the medical field, specializing in custom braces and ostomies. She helped many patients in her years working at Prescription Pharmacy and Badger Medical, along with serving many local hospitals. Carol was a feisty, quick witted, strong woman who loved to bake & cook. She had the curse of brutal honesty and speaking her mind, calling it how she saw it, and didn't sugar-coat anything. That being said, she was always there for her family, friends, and a host of extended family via the friends of her children, who she always had an ear available if you wanted to talk.
