Marilyn McClendon departed this life peacefully on, October 12, 2019 surrounded by family in Milwaukee, WI. Marilyn was born on September 9th, 1937 to Hubert Foster and Lula Belle Watts-Foster in Beloit, WI. Marilyn was united in holy matrimony to Charles James “CJ” McClendon, on August 4th, 1988. Marilyn came to know Christ and was an Usher and Deaconess and served on the Shepard Staff at New Zion Baptist Church. She was a dedicated employee with Rock County Department of Social Services, where she retired as a Social Worker for more than 20 years. Marilyn enjoyed sewing, knitting, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed staying current on World news events and politics on CNN. Marilyn is survived by her three children: Joyce Davis (Milwaukee), Talfer “Pete” Porter (Beloit), Leslie Savage (Milwaukee). Two sisters, Joyce Davidson and Ilene Williams both of Beloit, Sister-in-law Laura Foster (Janesville), and Mamie Foster (Milwaukee); 6 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marilyn was proceeded in death by her Daughter Lori Ann Porter, parents Hubert Foster and Lula Belle Watts-Foster, husband Charles James “CJ” McClendon, brothers; Ramon, George, John, Stanley Foster, and sisters Joan Foster and Duwrey Mae Carr.
