Latrice attended Burdge Elementary School, McNeel Middle School and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School the proud Class of 2000, where she was active in Youth 2 Youth, DECA Club and the Minority Excellence Organization (MEO) before attending the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Social Work. Latrice accepted Christ at an early age (14), received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and continued her faith walk with him until the end. She loved God and loved to praise him through song and dance. She would often come to meetings at work humming a song. She was a member of New Covenant Deliverance Tabernacle in Beloit, Wisconsin, under the leadership of the Late Pastor Ernest K. and Susan C. Roman where she served faithfully as a member of the New Covenant Youth Council Y2K (Youth Working 2gether in the Kingdom). She loved working with the youth and young adults. Latrice was active in all aspects of church life. She loved spending time communing with the Lord, whether it was meditating, praying, studying the word or spreading the goodness of Jesus. She would often say, “Let’s pray about it and leave it in God’s hands.”
In 2014 she joined Life Church Assembly of God under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Kringle where she served in Tots Life and the Awana’s Youth Ministries.
Latrice was known for her ease in conversations with total strangers, some may be surprised to learn of the extreme shyness in her youth. Yet even as a child, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even today are being impacted by her display of love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and love, will never be forgotten. Latrice married the love her life, Marcus E. Harris on September 2, 2006 and the two became one flesh. They were both godly young people; one prayed and the other had faith.
