Obituary for Lisa Tantillo

Lisa Tantillo
Lisa V. Tantillo, age 44 passed away on Tuesday, February 27,2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on May 04, 1973 in Madison, the daughter of Frederick and Paula (Mohrmann) Tantillo. Lisa was born and raised in Madison, WI. She was married to Scott Lappen and to that union was born 3 children. Lisa enjoyed helping others and did this throughout her life as a CNA. Some of the many things she enjoyed are spending time with her kids and family, playing Yahtzee, cooking, watching forensic files, first 48, murder mysteries as she had always said she wanted to be an analyzer. Lisa loved the warm weather and spending summer days outside on her porch. Lisa took after her father by enjoying the scenery of beautiful car rides on a Saturday afternoon as well as an occasional Ho-Chunk visit, with the dinging of slot machines and the thrill of pennies dropping. Every morning her kids could count on a call from her just to check in to talk about life, dreams, and aspirations. Lisa stayed headstrong while fighting diabetes, and pancreatitis her entire life with complications along the way, which eventually ended her journey here with us.
Lisa is survived by her daughter Brittany (Carson) Hammersley of Beaver Dam, WI; Two sons Patrick and Hunter Lappen of Stoughton WI; Her mother Paula Tantillo of Madison, WI; Sister Janine Karlslyst, two brothers Lavern Tantillo, Johnny Tantillo (Erin), four nieces/nephews Christina (Jermaine) Young, Samantha (Chad) Hodgman, Jessica (Tyson) Jackson, Josh Karlslyst. Great nieces/nephews Cody (Kaiden/Adonis), Christopher, Alianna, Destany, Oceaonna, Imarianna, Terrin, Leeland, Laelle, Memphis, and Kovi; boyfriend Kenny, and beloved dog Pongo (inherited by her loving sister Jackie). She is also survived by many other loving friends and family. Lisa is proceeded in death by her father Fredrick Tantillo, Sister Jackie Phillips, Nephew Caleb Phillips, and grandparents. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital Wisconsin MICU for taking such great care of her and the family. Condolences may be sent to Foster’s Funeral & Cremation Services in honor of Lisa Tantillo.
